Wiring Guide
9 DVC 0.5Ω subs, wired series-parallel.
- Final load
- 0.25Ω
- Amp stable at
- 0.25Ω
Heads up: 0.25Ω is below most amplifier ratings. Verify your amp is rated for this load before wiring.
Step-by-step
How to wire it.
- 01For each sub, connect voice coil 1 positive (+) to voice coil 2 positive (+). Connect voice coil 1 negative (−) to voice coil 2 negative (−). The two bridged terminals become that sub's single effective + and − terminals.
- 02Split the 9 subs into 3 groups of 3.
- 03Within each group, wire the 3 subs in series (− of one to + of the next).
- 04Connect the starting + of each group to a common + point, then to the amplifier's + terminal.
- 05Connect the ending − of each group to a common − point, then to the amplifier's − terminal.
