Adire Audio Brahma Mk V 12″ Subwoofer

The Adire Audio Brahma has always been known as a legendary driver in the audio industry since the very inception of the namesake in 2002. At that point in time we were at the forefront of high excursion drivers pushing the envelope to truly linear excursion levels never seen before. Fast forward to 2025 and we have went back to the drawing board updating the designs to surpass current industry standards while utilizing Patented XBL^2 motor technology to carry on the legendary namesake of the Adire Audio Brahma.

For 2025 we have added some upgrades to our popular Mark 2.5 Brahma design which include new basket with custom tooled spiders across all sizes for better fit and clearances, carbon fiber dust cap and most importantly an aluminum shorting ring inside of the top plate XBL^2 rebate which reduces inductance by 30% compared to the Brahma Mark 2.5. Additionally we swapped the 20mm tall magnets for 25mm ones which gave us a bump in BL. These upgrades are on top of the completely revamped from the ground up design we implemented in 2018 which include utilizing a dual stack of Y35 Grade ceramic ferrite magnets and a fully finite element analysis optimized motor structure. The Brahma Mark V is the next chapter in the legendary Brahma saga as we have successfully made the driver more compact than the original Brahma for the end user who may be concerned about mounting depth constraints, all the while improving the original legendary performance of the very first Brahma.

We have retooled our 8″ spider lineup to go with the new baskets we are using, keeping with the same 100% Nomex weave for long tern durability which preformed well with the Mark 2.5; we have adjusted the progressive rolls slightly to better control linearity. This technology is just one small piece of the significant Mark V upgrades which adds up to allow us to keep the Brahma Mark V as sound quality oriented as possible, without sacrificing overall SPL output.

The Brahma Mark V carries on the world-class sound quality and tonal balance of the original Brahma while still being able to pump out insane SPL output. Doing all of the above in such a clean fashion can only be achieved using XBL^2 motor technology which is why we have stuck to our roots and continued the tradition.

The 2025 Brahma Mark V is rated at 1000 watts RMS power handling and features a 3” diameter copper voice coil available in Dual 2 or Dual 4 ohm that will keep you enjoying your music at all levels of excursion and output for many years to come.
